I am a transport advisor for the TranSIT project of the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico.

I have 13 years of experience in consulting on transport and mobility planning projects in Mexico and Latin America. I was also a project leader for the Federal Program for Support to Mass Transport (PROTRAM) at the National Infrastructure Fund (FONADIN) for two years. I have worked on multiple road, railway, and mass public transport projects. I am an economist and specialist in socio-economic evaluation. I studied a Master’s degree in Analysis of Economic and Social Policy at the University of York, England.

I am an advisor for the Yucatan state for the Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System project in Mexico (TranSIT), implemented by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico.

Since 2014, I have been working on international cooperation projects with a focus on strengthening climate action in cities, both to reduce carbon footprint and increase urban resilience in topics such as sustainable mobility, urban development, ecosystem services, and the urban water cycle. Additionally, I have worked on a project with a focus on improving the efficient use of materials in industry.

During 2021 and 2022, I also advised the Strategic Alliances for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement program, which aimed to strengthen dialogue between Mexico and the European Union on the fulfilment of Nationally Determined Contributions. I am an industrial engineer with a Master’s degree in integrated water management.

I am a transport advisor for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico, where I collaborate on the Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System (TranSIT) and the TUMI E-Bus Mission projects, which aim to reduce emissions in public transport.

Previously, I advised the states of Nuevo León and Sonora on the development of electric public transport projects as part of the C40 Cities Finance Facility cooperation project. Before working with GIZ, I worked as a regional planning coordinator in the Government of the State of Nuevo León, responsible for advising municipalities on the development and updating of their Urban Development Programs. I hold a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto and a degree in Architecture from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.

I am currently the Director of the Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System (TranSIT) project, a new project of the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico to promote an intelligent, inclusive and climate-friendly public transport system in Mexico.

I have worked for this organization for ten years on various topics and in different countries. Between 2019 and 2021, I was the regional director of two energy projects in Central America, focusing on promoting electromobility. In 2015, I worked as an advisor for global projects on climate change mitigation and climate financing, focusing on emissions trading. I started my career at GIZ as a Project Manager for the climate and energy portfolio in Brussels, Belgium.

Before joining GIZ, I also worked at the European Parliament and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. I have a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Master’s degree in Public Management from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (Sciences Po Paris).

I am a transport advisor for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico, where I collaborate on the Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System in Mexico (TranSIT) project, which aims to reduce emissions in public transport.

Since 2017, I have been working on international cooperation projects with a focus on climate change mitigation and digital transformation. I have worked on both global and bilateral projects, mainly in Southeast Asia and Latin America. I am a mechanical engineer with a Master’s degree in renewable energy management.

I am a knowledge management advisor for the German Development Cooperation’s Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System (TranSIT) project in Mexico, and am also responsible for the gender theme for the cities and sustainable transport projects.

I have 8 years of experience at GIZ, 7 of which were spent in the energy sector on renewable energy and energy efficiency projects as a communications and gender officer for Central America, Belize, and the Dominican Republic. Between 2010 and 2015, I also worked as a content editor and journalist in the political, national, and judicial sections for two print media outlets in El Salvador. I hold a degree in journalism from the University of El Salvador in Central America.

I am a transport advisor for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico for the Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System (TranSIT) project in the city of Leon, Guanajuato.

I am the founder of the country’s first civil road safety organization, Mobility and Development Mexico. I have received and taught road safety courses in several countries in Latin America and Europe. I participated as a Road Safety Advisor for the Pan American Health Organization and the National Council for Accident Prevention of the Ministry of Health. I was the Coordinator of the Global Road Safety Program in Mexico for the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP).

I am a certified Road Safety Auditor and specialize in the design and management of public policies in road safety with a systemic approach. I was a technical advisor on vehicle safety and advisor for the Mobility and Road Safety Law for the Global Health Promotion Incubator and the Senate of the Republic. I have been a certified trainer of driving instructors by the AUTOMEX driving school association. I have a degree in Industrial Design from the Anahuac Mexico Norte University and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from the same institution.
