Based in Mexico city, Mexico
Carolina Santos is a transport advisor for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Mexico, where she collaborates on the Transition to an Integrated and Intelligent Public Transport System (TranSIT) and the TUMI E-Bus Mission projects, which aim to reduce emissions in public transport.
Previously, she advised the states of Nuevo León and Sonora on the development of electric public transport projects as part of the C40 Cities Finance Facility cooperation project. Before working with GIZ, she worked as a regional planning coordinator in the Government of the State of Nuevo León, responsible for advising municipalities on the development and updating of their Urban Development Programs. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto and a degree in Architecture from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.
