The project Training and capacity building of automotive specialists for electric and autonomous vehicles aims to improve the employability of young people in the field of automotive electromobility in Northeast Mexico. It addresses the growing demand for qualified professionals caused by the transformation of the automotive sector towards electric, autonomous and software-defined vehicles.
The project is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ, in partnership with ZF Group as the main private sector partner. Universities, industrial associations and government institutions are involved as additional partners. A cross-cutting gender approach promotes the participation of women in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
