The Technical Guideline for Bicycle Infrastructure Design is the first of its kind in Vietnam. This guideline is built upon lessons learned from recent cycling infrastructure and road safety projects in Vietnamese cities, as well as insights gained from international case studies. The guidances in this document will contribute to design cycling road and network toward safety cycling in urban areas and make cycling becoming a daily convenient and attractive travel option for people of all ages and abilities for a wide variety of trip purposes. Urban planners, road engineers and designers, and city managers are encourage to use this guideline as a reference for their works. This guideline can provide both theoretical and technical solutions to problems related to bicycle facilities that have not been fully mentioned in the current regulations and standards in Vietnam.
This Guideline is for urban traffic engineers and planners, technical infrastructure and urban traffic experts, urban designers, architects, policymakers, as well as individuals and organizations working in related development fields.
