MRV Blueprint Based on India Railways NAMA

This MRV blueprint presents a methodology for quantifying emission reductions of the expansion of passenger and freight rail services, illustrated by a NAMA addressing inter-urban rail transport in India. It includes the greenhouse gas reductions achieved by moving passenger and freight from road or plane towards rail. The MRV blueprint summarises the objectives of the NAMA, illustrates the baseline calculation, the anticipated impact and the monitoring framework.
