This publication analyses Kenya’s light-duty vehicle fleet to establish a fuel economy baseline and examine vehicle efficiency trends and their implications for energy use and emissions. It reviews the current policy and regulatory framework and benchmarks international best practices to inform discussions on vehicle efficiency improvement in Kenya.
