This report assesses early-stage interventions aimed at increasing female labor force participation (FLFP) across India’s electric mobility value chain, including manufacturing, transport operations, skill development, financing, and policy frameworks. It combines global best practices with qualitative evidence from interviews with electric vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, financial institutions, civil society organisations, and government stakeholders in India. The publication highlights practical strategies such as workplace adaptation, women-focused recruitment, flexible work arrangements, financial inclusion mechanisms, safety initiatives, and gender-responsive public procurement.
