I joined the Changing Transport team in 2019 looking to build alongside our local partners alternatives to improve the way we can create better life conditions for everyone by providing accessible and sustainable mobility alternatives. Being part of this team let me learn that building systems that answers women’s necessities is the best way to assure accessibility, that transport is a tool and an indicator of equality, and that climate change while a challenge is an opportunity to rethink our world.

Passionate about transforming urban landscapes through inclusive and sustainable mobility solutions, I am a Civil Engineer specializing in roads and transportation, currently immersed in pursuing a Master’s degree in Transport. My professional journey has been marked by a dedication to projects fostering active mobility, sustainable practices, road safety initiatives, urban logistics optimization, and electric mobility initiatives, and the integration of electric mobility solutions.

Motivated by a commitment to improving the quality of life for vulnerable communities, my focus lies in engaging with mobility projects that prioritize inclusivity and accessibility. My aspiration is to contribute to the creation of fairer cities, where every individual has equal opportunities to move with dignity. My research has centered on investigating accessibility and mobility issues among older people within urban environments.

It is with great enthusiasm that I embark on the next chapter of my career as a Junior Advisor at ProMOVIS. I am confident that, together, we can pave the way for a future where mobility is addressed as the pillar it is for promoting social justice and well-being in our communities.

Civil engineer, with a master’s degree in transportation and management. I have more than 10 years of experience in the formulation and implementation of policies, plans, programs, and projects of sustainable mobility and urban development, in different fields such as academia, private and public sectors, and international cooperation.

Joining the GIZ TRANSfer team in 2017, I am responsible for the implementation of the urban mobility component of the Euroclima+ project, which supports climate change mitigation in Latin America. I joined GIZ in 2009 as a transport advisor for several transport projects worldwide. From 2014 to 2017 I worked in the GIZ transport project in Namibia and was responsible for Logistics Hub Implementation and Academic Education in Civil Engineering. I hold a degree in Civil Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and Management Engineering (Dipl. Wirt.-Ing.).

A sustainable transformation of the transport sector offers great possibilities – it can bring about social justice, improve citizens’ life quality considerably and help protect the climate. That is why I am excited to work in the projects IMPROVE and ProMOVIS. In the IMPROVE project, I support the Colombian Ministry of Energy in developing regulatory instruments to mitigate emissions from new vehicles. In the ProMOVIS project, I support efforts to make transport systems in Colombia more sustainable. Before joining GIZ, I gained experience in climate and energy policy in the Netherlands, Mexico and Germany.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and graduated from Maastricht University with a Master’s in Sustainability Science and Policy. I’m really glad to be able to contribute to the pressing global reduction of GHG emissions and I’m pleased to contribute to improving the transportation system – a sector that affects the quality of life for all of us every day.
