The 25th Walk21 Conference in Tirana brings together urban planners, policymakers, and advocates to explore innovative strategies that encourage walking and create more livable cities. Hosted by the Walk21 Foundation, the City of Tirana, and GIZ, the conference focuses on transforming public spaces and urban environments to prioritise pedestrian accessibility and enjoyment.
Participants will engage in discussions about building connected communities, embracing culture, improving urban design standards, enhancing policy frameworks, and boosting capacity and creativity in walking initiatives. The event aims to inspire action towards healthier, more inclusive cities by highlighting the benefits of walkability and sustainable urban mobility.
