We are pleased to invite interested stakeholders to the workshop "Towards a Transport Data Commons - Making High Quality Transport Data Accessible" on March 17, 2023, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm (UTC-4) at the headquarters of the World Bank in Washington, DC (Room MC2-800).
Check the agenda here. Be aware that access to the World Bank building requires registration, so please register here.
The Transport Data Commons Initiative (TDCI) is a coalition of currently more than 20 leading organizations in transport working together to create a shared, public, accessible, and frequently updated database for the transportation sector.
The workshop will provide a platform to inform interested individuals and organizations about what happened and how they can participate and engage with the Transport Data Commons. In addition, we would like to take a closer look at how to open up and share data, in particular when it comes to development banks and international organizations.
Participants are encouraged to attend in person. Information on how to participate virtually will be provided upon request. For those attending in person, the event will conclude with time to network and discuss with other partners. Further background information on the idea of Transport Data Commons is available here.
Do not hesitate to contact Verena Knöll at GIZ (verena.knoell@giz.de) if you have any further questions about the event or the initiative.
Last but not least, you may also wish to attend and register for the Transforming Transportation event on March 14th-15th. We are grateful to the World Bank and WRI for hosting this initiative as a side event.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Washington DC.
