World Bank Group

The World Bank Group provides technical as well as financial assistance for many sustainable transport projects in countries all over the world, often in bilateral form. With regard to climate finance, the Climate Investments Fund (CIF), which is administered by the World Bank, is of high importance. The CIF consists of two different funds, the Strategic Climate Fund and the Clean Technology Fund (CTF). The latter finances many low-carbon transport projects.
