Tutorial: How to Use the MobiliseYourCity Emissions Calculator

Tutorial Series

GHG emissions scenarios for mobility plans

To ease the use of the calculator, we have created a Tutorial Series that focuses on four essential steps: understanding the basics, modeling the GHG inventory and business as usual scenario, the climate or SUMP scenario, and using the expert options for a more comprehensive analysis.

Have a look at the tutorials on how to use the MYC emissions calculator at the bottom of this page.

The MobiliseYourCity Emissions Calculator supports cities and countries in calculating GHG emissions in transport as well as developing and evaluating climate scenarios of passenger and freight transport for road and rail.

As it was developed in accordance with IPCC guidelines, the Emissions Calculator can be used to generate an overview of the current situation and subsequently project the GHG impact of possible sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs) and national urban mobility policies and investment programmes (NUMPs).

The tool can be found on the MobiliseYourCity Website and is available in three languages – English, French, and Spanish. Soon, MYC will also publish its User Manual for the emissions calculator which gives an overview of its background, methodology, and design.

For more information on the methodology regarding the monitoring and reporting principles of the MobiliseYourCity Partnership, please refer to the Monitoring and Reporting Approach for GHG Emissions.
