What fascinates me about mobility is that it’s such a basic feature of society. Everyone and everything moves. As a resource of social participation it is not only depending on the availability of means of transport but also on the design of material space and everybody’s individual access to it. In the time of climate crises it is our chance and duty to shape mobility in an ecologically sustainable way and also make it just and accessible for all.
As a human geographer with a focus on urban studies and mobility, having studied in Bayreuth, Bordeaux and Frankfurt, I follow an approach combining the spatial, social and ecological characteristics of mobility. After having mainly worked in research, I’m now happy to join the Transport and Climate Change team as an intern.
