Gerardo holds a master’s degree in Urban Studies from the Colegio de México and an architect from the UNAM. He has more than 10 years of experience in climate change development, planning and sustainable urban mobility.

Since 2019, he has been working GIZ from where he has promoted the climate agenda in terms of mobility and road safety, sustainable financing, gender perspective and climate change adaptation. The above from the approach of good governance and human rights to guarantee the sustainability of the projects.

Among the technical processes that he has promoted is the General Law of Mobility and Road Safety, the strengthening of the Urban Improvement Program of SEDATU and the Tulum Active Mobility Plan.
