The publication examines Kenya’s e-mobility training needs and skills gaps, mapping the key competencies required across the e-mobility value chain (including EV maintenance, charging systems, safety, and emerging job roles) and assessing how well current training systems respond to industry demand. It is primarily intended for TVET institutions and trainers, policymakers and regulators, private sector e-mobility companies, and development partners involved in workforce development. Its added value is that it clearly shows where the biggest skills shortages are and provides practical recommendations for developing or improving e-mobility curricula and training approaches to support a skilled, inclusive workforce for e-mobility transition.
