Climate finance: 2019 Joint Report on Multilateral Development Banks’ Climate Finance

The nineth edition of the Joint Report on Multilateral Development Banks’ Climate Finance provides a general overview of climate finance committed by these eight MDBs in 2019 by type of recipient or borrower, type of instrument, region. It also explains their tracking methodologies. MDB climate finance is defined as “financial resources (from own accounts and MDB-managed external resources) committed by MDBs to development operations and components thereof which enable activities that mitigate climate change and support adaptation to climate change.”

This report is useful to enhance understanding of MDB’s climate finance and their important contributions.
