Mzikhona Mgedle is a passionate community leader and advocate for sustainable mobility based in Langa, Cape Town. He is the founder of Langa Bicycle Hub, a community-driven initiative that promotes cycling, road safety, and youth empowerment through Learn2Cycle programmes, BMX and pump track activities, bicycle delivery services, and community workshops.
Mzikhona has successfully grown the hub from a small grassroots project into an established organisation employing over 10 young people, creating meaningful economic and social impact in the community. His work bridges community knowledge with policy and implementation, engaging government, NGOs, and private-sector partners to advance safer streets and inclusive mobility.
He is committed to fostering safe, active, and inclusive public spaces while creating pathways for youth development, skills building, and social entrepreneurship. Through his leadership, Langa Bicycle Hub continues to serve as a model for community-led urban mobility solutions in townships.
